Saccharide Isomerate is aNatural Carbohydrate Complex and a highly effective moisture regulator based upon naturally occurring carbohydrate and is very similar to the natural carbohydrate fraction found in the human horny layer of the skin. The moisture regulating properties, which are now transferred to the skin, cannot be washed out. Its removal is accomplished by the natural process of the skin exfoliation. Saccharide Isomerate is very effective at low relative humidities.
